Ingredients

- 4 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine sliced pears, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Mix well.
- Transfer the pear mixture to a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix rolled oats, flour, melted butter, and nuts until crumbly.
- Spread the oat mixture evenly over the pears.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the pears are tender.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
- Can substitute pears with apples or peaches.
