- 1 lb carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the carrots, maple syrup, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Toss until the carrots are evenly coated.
- Spread the carrots in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the carrots are tender and caramelized, stirring halfway through.
- If using, add butter to the carrots in the last 5 minutes of baking for extra richness.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- These carrots can be made ahead of time and reheated.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup according to your taste.
