A delicious and convenient lasagna casserole that can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the freezer for a quick meal.

- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 24 ounces marinara sauce
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with chopped onion and minced garlic until fully cooked.
- Add marinara sauce to the skillet and simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In a baking dish, layer noodles, meat sauce, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers.
- Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
- Let it cool before freezing or serve immediately.
Notes
- This casserole can be frozen for up to 3 months.
- Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before baking.
- Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrition.
