Description

A delicious and convenient lasagna casserole that can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the freezer for a quick meal.


Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with chopped onion and minced garlic until fully cooked.
  4. Add marinara sauce to the skillet and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  6. In a baking dish, layer noodles, meat sauce, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers.
  7. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  9. Let it cool before freezing or serve immediately.

  • This casserole can be frozen for up to 3 months.
