Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cornstarch, flour, salt, and pepper.
  2. Coat the chicken pieces in the flour mixture.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Fry the chicken until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. In a separate saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Cook over low heat until combined.
  6. Add the fried chicken to the honey garlic sauce and toss to coat.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, double fry the chicken.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey.
