- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix cornstarch, flour, salt, and pepper.
- Coat the chicken pieces in the flour mixture.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry the chicken until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a separate saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Cook over low heat until combined.
- Add the fried chicken to the honey garlic sauce and toss to coat.
- Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, double fry the chicken.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey.
- Serve with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
